Gifts to this inaugural annual fund appeal will be used in the coming year to address overwhelming financial concerns that are shared by most low-income families:
- It is anticipated that rents will only continue to increase in the current economic environment, and many of our Hope families are already struggling to keep up. Rent, utility, and repair assistance is where Hope spends the most significant portion of funds raised.
- We will add a commercial refrigerator and freezer later in 2022 to stock dairy, poultry, meat, and produce. This will assist families who are trying to manage skyrocketing food and gas prices.
At Penfield Hope, our mission is to walk with families on a path to stability, especially in housing. In addition to the Emergency Solutions Grant that we receive from Monroe County and the City of Rochester to prevent homelessness, your donations are what make it possible for Penfield Hope to help families maintain housing stability. In the past 10 months, we helped 27 Penfield area families stay in their homes.
